IT & Digital Accounting Solutions in Manchester

The right systems save you hours every single month. We set up modern cloud accounting for businesses across Greater Manchester, built around how your business actually runs: invoicing, expenses and bank feeds automated, and security done properly.

What’s included

What’s included.

A working system, not a login and a good luck.

How it works

How it works.

First we look at how the numbers actually move through your business today: how invoices go out, how receipts come in, where the spreadsheet lives and who types into it. Then we recommend Xero or QuickBooks, whichever genuinely fits, and agree a fixed fee for the project.

The build follows: chart of accounts shaped to your business, bank feeds connected, templates branded, automations switched on, and your history migrated and reconciled so the new system starts true. Then we train you in your own data, not a demo file, and stay on hand while the new routine beds in.

There is a regulatory reason to do this as well as a practical one. VAT already runs through Making Tax Digital, and MTD for Income Tax extends digital records and quarterly updates to sole traders and landlords in phases based on income. The thresholds and dates have moved several times, so we check your start point against the current guidance on gov.uk rather than quoting figures here. Our guide to Making Tax Digital for Income Tax explains who is affected and what to do now.

Who it’s for

Who it’s for.

Businesses still running on spreadsheets and shoeboxes, and anyone whose software fights them instead of helping. Sole traders and landlords who will be brought into Making Tax Digital and want to be ready early rather than scrambling late.

Owner-managed companies, partnerships and LLPs that have grown past their current system, and trades that want job costing connected to their accounts. We do this work for businesses around Eccles, across Salford and MediaCityUK and around Trafford Park, on site or over Teams.

FAQs

Common questions.

Which is better, Xero or QuickBooks?

Both are excellent, and we work in both every day, so we have no badge to defend. The right choice depends on how you invoice, who else needs access and which apps you want to connect. We will recommend one for your business and explain why, rather than defaulting to a favourite. There is more detail on our Xero and QuickBooks pages.

Can you move my records from spreadsheets or old software?

Yes. Migration is most of what this service does: from spreadsheets, from desktop software, or from another provider’s setup. We bring across the history that matters, reconcile the opening position so the new system starts true, and run checks before the old one is switched off.

What does cloud accounting setup cost?

A fixed project fee for the setup and migration, agreed before we start, and then the software subscription itself, which you pay to the provider. If we also do your bookkeeping, setup is usually folded into getting started. The initial consultation is free.

Will I have to keep digital records for Making Tax Digital?

If you are VAT registered you already do: MTD for VAT requires digital records and filing through compatible software. For income tax, MTD is being extended to sole traders and landlords in phases based on income, and the thresholds and dates have moved several times, so we check your start point against the current guidance on gov.uk rather than quoting figures. Either way, the setup this service delivers is the preparation.

Do you provide training and support after setup?

Yes. We train you and your team on the parts of the system you will actually use, in your own data rather than a demo file, and we stay on hand afterwards. A system nobody is confident in gets abandoned, which is the failure we design against.
