Accountants in Worsley and Monton
A lot of the accounting around Worsley and Monton is personal before it is corporate: a self assessment return, a rental property or two, a business that has been in the family longer than most of its customers. That is the work this page is about.

The online filing deadline is 31 January, and the £100 penalty for missing it is the cheap part. The expensive part is the relief you did not claim because you were doing the whole thing at midnight from a carrier bag of receipts. We ask for records in the autumn, tell you what you owe with months to plan for it, and file long before the deadline.
Landlords: digital reporting is coming to property income
If your combined self employed and property income is over £50,000, quarterly digital reporting to HMRC starts in April 2026. The threshold falls to £30,000 in April 2027 and £20,000 in April 2028. For a landlord with one or two properties who has always done a return in January, that is a change of habit rather than a change of form. We move people onto software that handles it quietly in the background well before their start date, and we make the submissions.
Alongside that, the usual property questions: what counts as a repair and what counts as an improvement, how finance costs are relieved now, whether holding property personally or through a company suits your position, and what happens when you sell.
Family businesses
Businesses run by a family have problems limited to family businesses: two or three people drawing from the same pot, a spouse on the payroll, a next generation who may or may not want it, and a set of accounts that has to satisfy HMRC, the bank, and a conversation around a kitchen table. We prepare the accounts, handle the company's filings and do the family's personal returns together, so advice on one side is not quietly undone on the other.
Bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and year end accounts all sit on our services page if you want the detail.

FAQs
Questions from Worsley, Monton and Boothstown
I rent out one property in Monton. Do I actually need an accountant?
For one property with a simple mortgage, plenty of landlords manage their own return. Two things change that: the finance cost rules, which catch people out every year, and Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, which brings in quarterly reporting from April 2026 if your property and self employed income together top £50,000. If either applies to you, it is worth a conversation before the year end rather than after.
We run a family business in Worsley. Can you do the company and our personal returns?
Yes, and doing them together is the point. Company accounts, corporation tax, payroll and each director's or partner's self assessment handled by the same person means the salary, dividend and pension decisions are made once, with the whole picture in view, rather than twice by people who never speak.
Do you actually come out to Worsley and Boothstown?
Yes. George visits clients at home or at their premises across Worsley, Monton, Boothstown, Swinton and Walkden. It is about ten minutes from the office in Eccles. If a video call suits you better, that works too.
